Where conventional external wastegates are fitted

Where conventional external wastegates are fitted to the hot side of a turbocharger system to allow exhaust gas to bypass the turbine wheel, charge air control is a valve fitted to the cold side of the turbocharger system.

By modulating a controlled bleed on the cold side through a Turbosmart Boostgate, you can precisely and directly control the amount of the boost available to the engine.
