Turbosmart’s All-New Boost Tee is a facelift on the tried and tested Boost Tee you’ve come to love. Now featuring a 33% smaller and more ergonomic design, the All-New Boost Tee incorporates the same functionality that makes it a crowd favourite, including our unique Gate Feature for maximum boost response and anti-tamper locking feature and easy use.

The Boost Tee is a pneumatic bleed valve that allows an increase in boost on turbocharger systems where boost-based actuators are used and are suitable for use on both internal and external wastegate systems. An increase in boost over and above the base spring pressure can be achieved by manipulating the reference signal to an internal wastegate actuator or external wastegate. It is common to reach 100 – 200% increases in boost over the base spring pressure.

Frequently Asked Questions

Ensure you have an over-boost cut-out. This is a safety feature built into basically all factory, aftermarket & programmable ECU’s. Make sure it is set at a sensible & reasonable limit. Increasing the boost will put more load on your engine, and there are other tune-related factors you must always consider. IF in any doubt, speak with a professional tuner/calibrator.

Suppose your engine is turbocharged and uses a boost-based actuation, then yes. The All-New Boost Tee by Turbosmart will work on any Boost-Based Internal Wastegate Actuators and External Wastegates. It will not be suitable for VGT (Variable Geometry) Turbochargers, also known as VVT (Variable Vein) and VNT (Variable Nozzle) or Vacuum-Based Actuators.

The maximum boost you will be able to make will come down to other variables with your setup. Turbocharger efficiency must be respected, and as such, as you start to work a turbocharger harder and towards the limits of its efficiency, a boost can be harder to achieve. With that said, on an otherwise efficient setup, you can expect to be able to achieve 1-2 times the base mechanical spring pressure as fitted to your actuator or wastegate.

Gate-Feature is a technology built into all Turbosmart Boost Controllers that promotes boost response and manipulates the reference signal for maximum gains. There is no other way to achieve such aggressive boost curves than the Turbosmart Gate Feature.

Yes! If maximum boost response is not what you’re after, you can disable this feature. Refer to the technical drawings & instructions as you will need to remove the ball and spring on the inlet side of the All-New Boost Tee.

Yes! This Arrow indicates the direction of flow of the reference signal (compressed air from the charge pipe or turbocharger) to the actuator. The Arrow direct must be respected & fitting the All-New Boost Tee backwards will result in boost control problems and instability.

No! The All-New Boost Tee design by Turbosmart increase’s the boost pressure above the base spring pressure. If you want to decrease boost pressure, you may need to change the spring within your actuator or external wastegate.

No! One-click either up or down on the All-New Boost Tee is not one psi. The actual change per click will be specific to your vehicle and your setup. The efficiency of every setup is different, and as such, the changes are not identical from vehicle to vehicle. We recommend making small changes at first to understand your setup first and foremost.

Unveiling the Vital Role of Fuel Pressure Regulators in Engine Performance"

Fuel Pressure Regulators are part of the fuel system for internal combustion engines, and their role is to regulate the fuel pressure across the injector rail. The pressure target is constantly moving with engine demand and even more so in boosted applications where a pressure margin above manifold pressure must be maintained for precision fuel injection. Often misunderstood, the regulator must have enough flow and bypass capacity to allow most of the available fuel back to the tank via the return port when at idle and low loads while having the response and control to maintain fuel pressure under high loads when fuelling is critical to engine performance and reliability.

ProPort by Turbosmart is an All-New 54mm (2.13in) Blow-off Valve with a tiny footprint and massive flow. The ProPort flows 420 cfm, which is enough for 3500 HP and is in a league of its own, standing 30mm (1.2in) lower than PowerPort while flowing over 25% more than the Market leading 50mm RacePort. Features include our unique locking collar design, new unique vent profile, sensor cap option and spring options for all turbocharged and supercharged applications.

25+ Years of Manufacturing

The ProPort resulted from over 25 years of Blow-off Valve manufacturing experience and 12 months of internal development. In addition, the ProPort design is CFD driven & real-world validated for maximum possible flow based on the demands of the Tuning & Motorsport Market. The Milspec Diaphragm operated valve is highly responsive while using our Boost-Balance system, which means the more boost you feed it, the better it seals!

Availiable with an Onboard Position Sensor

Available with an onboard position sensor as an option, we utilise a non-contact hall effect sensor for the position of the valve, which means no through-holes in the cap, ensuring no chance of leaks. The data this can provide for professional & amateur teams alike is invaluable when every pass & every minute on track counts!

Quick Release VBand System

The Quick Release VBand system is of the quality you have come to expect from Turbosmart. Our GenV cap profile is easily distinguishable and includes 2 x 1/8NPT reference ports on a cap that can be rotated for simplifying reference hose runs in complex engine bays.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much do you have? The technical limit is over 220psi maintained but it can even do more than this in short bursts. The reality is you’re probably asking at what point it will leak & the answer is it won’t. The Turbosmart Boost-Balance System means the more boost you are making, the better it will seal. We do this for maximise response and boost holding characteristics as we will always have more force pushing the valve closed, than you will have boost trying to push it open.

Given the more boost you have the better it seals, so what is the limit? It’s actually the ability of the valve to flow air and that limit is around 3500HP worth of air. It will never leak, even with more than that power level, however you may start to experience audible compressor surge when attempting to bypass more than 3500HP. And if that is you, great news – We have the PowerPort for over 3500HP Applications!

The ProPort is based on the GenV architecture and as such features our V styled cap with 2 x 1/8NPT reference ports. The cap can be rotated and clocked to enable the most suitable routing of reference hoses. We include a hose end barb in the kit, however you’re also welcome to use high quality lines and fittings.

Yes. If you already have a ProPort there is an upgraded sensor cap available as a part number which comes with a new cap & sensor which can be swapped out & fitted to your existing ProPort at a later date. Note, we only produce the Sensor Caps in black though!

Yes. We have spring options available in the spares and accessories area of the website which means you can set this up for Supercharger Applications. It was designed to do both!

25Amps per channel (x2 Channels). That is enough to control the Turbosmart eWG and StraightGate Series of External Wastegates for any single or twin Wastegate system. The BlackBox provides current demand isolation, protecting your ECU regardless of your strategy or mode.

If your factory ECU is programmable and you have complete control over a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) output, which is usually used for a boost control solenoid, then yes. 

It will, however, require custom calibration as there are fewer dynamic forces with an electronic system, so the map will look very different to how it usually would.

Yes. The CAN stream is available (Refer to Datasheet/instructions) for connected channels and includes wastegate position, wastegate temperature, and current draw for up to 2 Units. 

Yes. By selecting CAN override, you effectively switch modes, and the BlackBox becomes a High-Current 2-channel driver for your ECU. This disables the default tables and settings required for PWM or CAN target but gives you unlimited control of the gates directly from your ECU.
