Steven Dimech started his apprenticeship as a motor mechanic at 15 in 1991. He was fully qualified at the age of 19, then went on to work as a rotary motor mechanic for the next 12 years. During this time has gained extensive experience in building hundreds of rotary engines. In March 2008, together with his wife Sylvia, he started a rotary performance workshop creating ‘SDR MOTORSPORT’, specialising in all fabrication done in house. Exhaust manifolds, intercooler pipes, gearbox tunnels, mini tubing, wheelie bars, chrome molly roll cages, etc. Services in engine building from standard rebuilds to complete race engines 12A, 13B, 20B and 26B. Engine dowelling, studding, and porting from the mild, bridge, and peripheral ports. The workshop is fully equipped with new tools and equipment to build top quality street and drag strip race cars.
