Traditionally, clamping a high-quality aluminium intercooler pipe to a turbocharger's compressor cover required removing the cover from the turbo, cutting the outlet flange off and TIG welding ferrules onto the comp cover. A time-intensive process demanding specialised skills and equipment, that if not done correctly could warp the housing and ruin your turbocharger.

HOW THE LOCKSLEEVE WORKS
Available to suit both B Frame and C Frame Turbosmart turbocharger compressor covers, the LockSleeve eliminates the need for TIG welding by creating a mechanically interlocked O-ring seal between the compressor cover and the outlet flange, using a precision-machined screw-together ferrule.
As the two halves of the collar are torqued together, the LockSleeve engages an internal O-ring that forms a high pressure seal between the compressor cover and the sleeve. The O-ring delivers airtight integrity while the outer sleeve provides mechanical retention, giving you the reliability of a welded joint with the serviceability of a mechanical fitting.
